Located on the East Side of Providence, RI, the Waterman Street Dog Park is a safe and friendly environment for dogs to exercise, socialize and play off leash. The 2.5 acre enclosed dog park is open year round and features a separate area for small dogs, a double-gated entry to safely enter/exit, access to water for dog bowls and walking trails to explore with your furry friend(s).

RULES

Users of the facility do so at their own risk. The City of Providence RI shall not be liable for any injury or damage that may occur at this park whether to animals, personal property, or person(s). Dog owners are solely liable for injuries or damage caused by their dog and must ensure that their dog does not escape the fenced area.

  1. Dogs in heat and puppies under four months of age are not allowed in the park.

  2. All dogs must wear a collar with identification and current Rabies tag. (It is strongly recommended that all dogs also be current with Distemper and Parvovirus vaccinations.)

  3. Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the park. Please maintainthe safety of the gate transfer system upon arrival and departure.

  4. No more than three dogs per visitor.

  5. Dogs with aggressive history are prohibited in the park. Dogs exhibiting aggressive behavior must be leashed and removed immediately.

  6. Glass containers and smoking are not allowed in the park.

  7. Dog owners must be within the park and supervising their dogs at all times.

  8. Always make sure you are in control of your dog.

  9. Dog waste must be cleaned up immediately by owners and placed in the proper receptacle.

  10. Children under age 14 must be supervised by an adult. For children’s safety please do not bring children under age 6 into the park.
